Who is Savannah Posey?
Savannah Morgan Posey, 16, of Muncie was a student at Heritage Hall Christian School and also for one year went to Yorktown High School. She was very active in school playing volleyball, basketball and soccer. Savannah loved to play in the band and sing with the Sounds of Heritage. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Savannah was a positive and pleasant part of our community for many years. She and her family have been, and are, positive and respected members of our soccer community. Savannah loved soccer. She wore a smile on her face and she was always quick with a kind word to those around her. It is her love of soccer and her positive approach to the sport that we wish to forever remember with this award. Savannah went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 23, 2012 at her residence. “It was her hearts desire for you to know that you can be here someday, too.” She was born February 15, 1996 in Nashua, New Hampshire to Gregory L. and Angela Kay (Messer) Posey. She was 16 years of age and was taken by an undetected and rare health disorder. “Soccer taught me confidence, teamwork, and discipline both on and off the field. It taught me to live life to its fullest. Never give up, and you’ll have no regrets.”
